MEAMCON 2018 is all about serving our community. Owners Associations are being increasingly called on to play a significant role in the way we live, learn, work, and play. Since 2011, MEAMCON is the first and currently only conference and exposition aimed directly at Community and Association Managers in the Middle East. With experience in assets management and maintenance services spanning close to 20 years, including ten years in facilities management, Alex has consistently been ranked top 5 in the fmME Power 50 List, the annual independent ranking of the Middle East's most influential FM executives. Alex is a results-oriented leader who believes in the value of teamwork and has a proven track record of driving business excellence by aligning key business initiatives to support sustainable business growth. This is achieved by developing effective long-term value partnerships with clients, suppliers and stakeholders. He leads high performing teams through strong communication, empowerment and engagement to deliver service excellence. His inclusive leadership style and drive for excellence empower his teams to be creative, innovative, and effective in delivering the highest quality FM services. Kirk Watilo

Owners Association Director - Khidmah LLC

Kirk Watilo is a highly-respected professional who leads multiple fronts at the global Community Associations Institute (CAI). He devotes a significant portion of his time to facilitate courses at CAI and DREI on subjects like finance, communications, governance, developer transition, and best practices. Prior to CAI, Kirk has led management teams for communities with budgets exceeding 85,000,000 USD with thousands of homes and acres. A widely acclaimed subject matter expert of high management, Kirk's UAE experience includes managing Motor City in Dubai and working with a large management firm running their Property Management section. One major focus for Kirk has been to provide leadership and advice to Owners Association elected Boards as the communities begin their self-governance journey, transitioning from developer control. Kirk holds a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Long Beach USA and a Master's Degree in Public Administration with a certificate in Judicial Administration from the University of Southern California, USA

Mahmoud Al Burai

Dubai Land Department, Government of Dubai

With being the Vice President of International Real Estate Federation, FIABCI UK, Mahmoud Al Burai is a force to reckon with. He sits on the board of International Real Estate Society (IRES) and is the FIABCI representative at the United Nations Economic Commission for West Asia (UNESCWA). Along with these commitments he also represents UNGC in MENA region and advises World Economic Forum on housing policies. Prior to his position in DREI, Mahmoud worked for three years as Senior Director of Real Estate Sector Development at Real Estate Regulatory Authority of Dubai. Mahmoud is an engineering graduate from the American University and has a Master's in Real Estate from the National University of Singapore. He completed his MBA in Finance from his alma mater, the American University of Dubai in 2010. He is now pursuing his DBA at Grenoble Ecole de Management in France.

Jeevan J D'Mello

President of the Community Associations Institute - Middle East

With a wide-ranging international career in Architectural Design, Customer Experience, Community Management and International Relations spanning India, the Far East and the Middle East, Jeevan is a veteran in his field. In his 15-year long career with Emaar Properties, he has achieved huge milestones including the management of 5 master planned communities with a portfolio of over 35,000 units including Burj Khalifa. His certifications comprise a massive list of many firsts- first Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) in 2008, first Association Management Specialist (AMS) certified by the US-based Community Association Institute for the region, first international Professional Community Association Managers (PCAM) in 2012 and the first international Large Scale Manager (LSM). In 2011 he received the Institute's 'Rising Star Award' and in 2014 the prestigious 'President's Award' in the USA. Jeevan recently completed serving a 6-year term on the US-based Community Managers International Certification Board but continues to sit on many committees. He now serves as the President of the Community Associations Institute - Middle East.

Having spent 19 years in the Wellness industry, Tim Garrett is an expert on transforming lives through health and fitness. He has delivered corporate wellness programs to companies that vary from large entities like Aramex and Eros Group to SMEs like Ubisoft, the famous computer games developer. His understanding of the foundational principles of nutrition and physical fitness has allowed him to design effective programs that deliver spectacular results for companies where stress, fatigue and lifestyle challenges are common concerns. Through his learnings from the globally renowned CHEK institute, he has strengthened his belief that a happy and a healthy employee not only can but also will exert additional discretionary effort that will lead to superior customer service and consequently superior business results.

Dr Mansoor Habib

Senior Director- Employee Wellness & Happiness, du

Dr Mansoor Habib, family medicine and occupational health consultant, restructured du’s entire wellness department and launched a dedicated executive wellness programme that set wellness KPIs for the company executives. He has made a significant contribution not only at his work but to society at large through his position as the Regional Chair of the International Association of Worksite Health Promotion and as the Chair of the Workplace Wellness Taskforce Group (a Dubai Chamber sustainability initiative). In 2017, Dr Mansoor graduated from two important training programmes organised by the Prime Minister Office. The first one being the UAE government executive leadership programme in collaboration with Oxford University and the second programme was a program on happiness and positivity for the private sector, in partnership with Wharton University.

Mohammad Kaiser Azad

Head, Emaar Community Management

One of the founding members of Community Management, Kaiser has been instrumental in shaping the property landscape developed by Emaar in Dubai and the Middle East. With over 15 years of experience in property and community management, Kaiser's strategic orientation has a proven track record in successful master planning, value chain management, customer experience, digital transformation, cost and service optimization, sustainability, change and crisis management. Kaiser was one of the first CMCA (Certified Manager of Community Associations), AMS (Association Management Specialist) and PCAM (Professional Community Association Manager) in the region and outside of U.S.A. He is also a faculty member at the Dubai Real Estate Institute, focusing on community management.
